hi all,

I want to strip a whole ceiling. Apart from applying a stripper solution, which is very caustic and smelly, is there another way....

It is inside the house so I am hesitant to use either a sander or a heat gun.

thanks
Mark

Plaster board I think.... I ended up using 6 liters of stripper... there has to be an easier way...

To bad for sanding.. had to go back to base and I still have 4 more rooms to go....

This will be tough - applying stripper on plaster.....the plaster will soak up the stripper, soften, and turn into a big mess. Why strip it at all? Why not paint it with flat latex ceiling/wall paint? The plaster may not take paint well since there will still be traces of stripper in the plaster.Could you skim coat the ceiling with plaster instead of stripping it?
