Question

I removed a few coats of wallpaper from a bedroom wall using Wallwik. The surface is still very sticky (I assume its the
wallpaper glue) and in many spots the original coat of paint/primer has bubbled
and pealed and is still pretty tacky. How can I remove the glue and what is the best way to prep the walls for painting?

Thanks.

You do need to remove the glue because it will almost certainly bleed through new wall paint. If the glue is thin, wet wall with a sponge or sprayer and let the water work on the glue a few minutes. It should sponge off.If the glue is thick, wet as before but get most of the glue with a 6 or 10 inch mud blade and sponge clean. At this point you will have found all the bubbles.Cut them out and prime.Patch, sand, prime patches and paint.
