Question

What are the differences between oil and latex paint in terms of texture, duarability(ie.ease of cleaning) look, and color belending.

I assume you are refering to trim paint in that oil is rarely used on walls in homes.Latex and oil paints are fairly similar as far as washing go.Oil tends to yellow very quickly.Latex must go on latex or an oil primer,oil can go over whatever.Latex tends to dry out showing some brushmarks,oil is self leveling meaning a smoother overall look.Latex if primed properly will almost hold up as well as oil.I know I ramble in this post but just typed as I thought.....Mike
