I was at a drive thru at a local restaurant one day and noticed that they had painted over their vinyl siding and that it was peeling. It looked horrible. Doesn't a person install vinyl siding because of it being maintainance free? It looks like those people created a huge mess of scraping and painting every year.

Cool

Vinyl can be "painted" with a product known as Kolorbond which is made in England and is starting to be introduced into the American Vinyl Window Market. It is a coating which actually bonds with the vinyl substrate.
It does not chip, fade, crack or peel. We have been using the process with much success for the past 5 years in making vinyl windows with custom exterior colors. Vinyl siding can be "retro" painted in the same manner.
