help!!! I keep getting interrupted!!
Help!! Is there a way to keep a paint brush wet in between coats without washing and waiting for it to dry? I am painting headboards and using Kilz oil based primer. Obviously I need a couple coats and each headboard has two sides that have to be done seperately. I am wondering if putting the brush in a zip lock bag or wrapping it in seran wrap would keep it wet long wnough for a coat to dry about 1 - 2 hours. Does anyone know if this will work? I have been taking days and have only got two coats on one side so far due to waiting for brush to dry after cleaning in mineral spirits.

Come back for an answer from the Pros but I have seen it done on the DIY shows. They just say to get all the air out of the bag that you can. Good luck. I have done it overnight with water based paint.

With oil based paints, I've wrapped the brushes in saran wrap and stuck it in the freezer. You have to let the brush warm to room temperature, but you can avoid cleaning between coats. But, I'm not a pro, and I'm sure they've got an even better idea.
