renting a paint sprayer

I am planning on renting an (airless sprayer from Lowes) how long do I need to let the paint dry before I can sand it in order to do the final touch up of the drywall and then spray on the final coat of paint.

Read the label on the paint can. Sometimes latex will take a little longer when spraying a large quanity indoors due to the increased humidity from spraying. If it is warm enough you may be able to recoat in as little as 4 hours but 2nd coat on 2nd day is always the best bet.

How much of your house are you painting? What sheen are you using? Do you live in a cold, humid area or ? Why would you sand the finish? Are you taped, masked, and tarped (ready to spray) ? If you rent @ noon you can spray, let dry overnight, and do touch up spraying or 2nd coat in morning and return @ noon. Heating the house will help dry latex as will using fans to get air movement (really reduces dry time).
