I agree with PWG. All primers are designed to be recoated within a short time period (usually not more than a month). I reprime everything if I want the best adhesion.
I have mixed reviews recently about Kilz, namely that it isn't what it used to be and is over rated. I am going to go over a smoky ceiling and walls and wonder if it will do the job in one coat or not. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Russ
I am trying to paint my hallway, I have stripped off woodchip wallpaper and now the walls are left with previous paint still on, the problem is if I paint over it, the previous paint shows through the new paint in patches where some of it came off and some of it stayed on, how on earth do I get the walls looking smooth so the new paint looks smooth? I have tried putting on a base paint first but you can still the previous chipped paint underneath. Please help! :wall:
