Removing Appliance Paint without Damage?

Hi, I recently moved into an apartment where the stove and refrigerator are a retro olive green. However the tenants before tried to cover this by sponge painting over it with a kind of khaki paint (looks like flat interior paint) which just looks awful. Is there a way to take off the khaki paint without damaging the glossy finish on the appliance?

Thanks!!

Since latex paint doesn't adhere well to appliances I would use a product like 'oops' or 'goof-off'. With a lot of elbow grease the paint should come off fine with out damaging the original finish.
