painting gutters

When painting the exterior of a house I think the "trim" would mean the gutters & undersiding as well? Iwas planning on treating them the same as aluminum frames - a good clean, prime and top coat with acrylic latex. Is this the right way to go about it or would I need to use a different kind of paint?

As long as you clean the oxidation off of the aluminum you should be able to paint with latex and skip the primer.
When estimating a job I always find out if they gutters, etc need to be included. If in good shape [and color appropriate] I clean them and don't paint. Obviously if previously painted they are automatically included with the bid.
