What is the best kind of primer for new drywall?

Also, which are the better brands of brushes and rollers for painting? We want to do this right!!

There are different types of primer depending on what the top coat will be. Generally you want something that will seal the wall. Latex primers usually work well for priming drywall. It would be best to talk to the paint store rep to find out what primers and top coats would be best for your needs.
I like wooster & purdy brushes. Wooster also makes good rollers.
