Best Brush Clean Up Product

I just finished painting with an oil based paint & I have soaked the brushes in mineral spirits. Is there another product I should use to condition the brushes after cleaning w/ mineral spirits?

The brushes should be combed and brushed out with the spirits or thinner to properly clean them
Then tapped or even better spun on a spinner to "fling" any remaining paint/thinner off

You probably don't need any further "conditioning" beyond a good cleaning, but you might want to post up what type of brushes you are refering to, just in case they require some unusual care

Don't forget to put them back in the wrapper/shuck they came in. It helps them to retain their shape.

A couple of them are Purdys & the others are Rubbermaids from Wal-Mart. Of course, I chucked the sleeves they came in.

Thanks for the info though!

You can make your own sleeves when necesarry. Take some stiff paper and wrap the brushes up in them using care to make the brushes keep their shape.

I usually keep a few newspapers in the work van
Often, after cleaning brushes, I will fold a few pages into a shuck around the brush
