Sealing Window Sills
I have a new home with processed wood window sills painted white. I would like to seal them against moisture damage. Could someone suggest what to use? Thank you...! ! !

Is this interior or exterior sill?
Interior sills should be painted with enamel, either latex or oil base.
Exterior should be a good quality latex. Flat is ok but satin or gloss would be better.

You're wise to seal those puppies while they're new. That particle board rubbish swells and distorts with moisture. I sanded the bumps off the sills in a 20 year old condo with an orbital sander. When I applied primer the sills swelled up all over again from the moisture in the latex primer. 'Twas a mess. Perhaps I should have used oil based primer??
