I'm not real familiar with BM's coating line but generally if you use their mid grade or better you should be fine. I've used their Regal line from time to time and was always satisfied with it. I've heard good things about the Aura line but have never used any. I would expect 2 coats to be needed over the dark colors.

I use Regal most of the time but I haven't bought any in a couple years, I'm assuming that's still one of their lines.

Up here in Canada, Regal is replacing their Collection series of paints.
They introduced a line here called Ben a few years ago. I've used it many, many times and I'm very impressed. It's also pretty inexpensive compared to Regal and Aura.
Aura is great paint, but difficult to use if you don't do a lot of painting and can't keep up to it's very fast dry time. I've heard way to many stories about people basically wasting an entire gallon of it painting a room themselves and the end result is terrible. I have no idea why the paint store here sells this stuff to people who obviously don't do much painting.
