Golf club paint

I have a couple of "metal" woods that are scuffed. They are only a year old so I don't want to replace them. The local pro shop wants $35 each to repaint the clubs.
I'm looking for suggestions for a good quality, high gloss spray paint that can handle the abuse a golf club (at least my clubs)takes.

You might ask them what type of paint they use. I don't golf and sure never painted any clubs - woud automotive paint be durable enough?
