Painting Kitchen Cabinets
I would like to paint my varnished kitchen cabinets. What can I do so that the woodgrain does not show through the paint. Thanks for any suggestions.

A shellac-based primer/sealer is usually the best choice
I prefer BIN

we just painted ours, my wife used a liquid de-glosser , and a light sanding, first coat was with KILLZ oil based paint, then a light second coat about 1 hour after the first coat, we let dry for 2 days then a nice white semi gloss ( good expensive paint ), if you dont paint over the kills it will eventually turn a yellow tint, had it happen at our last house

I agree
