Removing "glue" on stucco
I recently had my lanai(SW Fla) enlarged and had the original screened panels removed-now, on the two columns are a line of brown caulk. How do I remove this stuff and repaint the stucco??Help!!!Do I need to have stucco applied over it??

Paint thinner may soften the caulk a little but mostly it is going to take a lot of scraping. It shouldn't hurt if you remove a little thin layer of stucco along with the caulk. You would only need to patch the stucco if you knock off a thick amount. For the most part paint will hide the majority of any damage you cause from scraping.
