Semi gloss over semi gloss

My wife and i bought a home about a year ago and painted an upstairs bathroom ( including cieling)with a Behr semi gloss blue. Now my wife wants the ceiling to match the trim (semi gloss white).

My question: Do i need to prime over the blue to seal, and/or do I need to prime to get good coverage to from the white because it is going over a darker color.

Unless it is a real deep blue you shouldn't need to prime first. As always a quick light sanding will promote adhesion.

I would suggest going to a paint store to buy your paint for the ceiling. Most paint stores will have paint with better coverage properties [among other things] which will make painting the ceiling easier.
