oil base paint on steel door won't dry!
I painted my steel front door 2 days ago with oil-base paint and it is still not dry.
It was previously painted with latex. Would that have anything to do with it not drying or could possibly the high humidity we are having be responsible?? I have a fan blowing on it at the present time to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oil base enamel is always slow to dry, some are worse than others. Extra pigment in the paint can slow down the drying. Humidity will slow down drying times although most oils will dry within 24 hrs.
While applying oil overtop of latex [on the exterior] isn't a good idea IMO, it shouldn't have any effect on the drying time.
Not much you can do at this point but wait. Fresh air and sunlight/heat will help.

Thank you all for your expertise. I just noticed that the very top of the door is finally starting to dry. I don't recall ever having this problem prior. I was getting ready to go out to purchase a new door! Thank you so much for your help.
