hey, im painting a guitar and i need advice. It is made out of high density particle board. I am going to paint it balck red and white. I have no idea what kind of paint to use so if someone could give me a reccomendation that would be awesome. Also, how many coats of paint should I use and what should I use as a clear coat. I want to have a thick clear coat the would help protect the paint. If somone could help me out with these questions i would appreciate it

Lacquer, that's what you want
I'm not sure how to do it over MDF
But over wood on instruments there's usually no primer
You can finish off with clear though, glossy...or not
