painting over satin paint

I hired someone to repaint the exterior of my house. He chose satin and tried to match to the color I chose. Well, it's not the color I chose and I want to repaint it. It was two days ago, do I need to have it primed first or can I paint over it and it will adhere? Also, can I use flat or do I need to stick to satin? Would really appreciate if someone could give me an answer. Thanks.

A quality exterior paint should stick just fine
Flat or satin
No primer should be needed
Just if latex was used, stick with latex, and use oil if it was oil
