Power rollers?

I have a lot of painting coming up. Is a Wagner Power roller worth the money? Or am I better off with sticking with quality regular rollers and saving my money?

Thanks,
Neil

While I can't speak for the average diyer, as a pro painter I wouldn't own one. Using a good roller, 5 gal bucket and screen [grid] I can get more paint on the wall/ceiling in less time than I could with a power roller.

I have found very few Pros or DIYers that will recommend them
Only one that I can think of off-hand, maybe I've run across another over the years
Everyone else that I know that has used them has had bad reviews and would not recommend them
That's not a good ratio
Enough for me to mention it, even though I don't own one myself

Thanks for teh replies guys. Looks like the Wagner might not be worth the money. I did search on here and found positive feedback for the Home Right original Paint Stick. Might check that out, or might just stick with a regular roller and bucket/screen set up like suggested. If the Paint Stick is cheap enough, it might be worth a try.

Thanks,
Neil
