Wagner Paint Srayer?

My brother has a deck he needs to waterproof. I think he is using a THompson's type water sealer. He asked me if this product would work in the sprayer, otherwise he will roll it on. What do you guys think. He did say the product only required water clean up.

"What do you guys think?"

I cannot recommend the product or the applicator
Neither one works well

With some more info on the deck I could have a better recommendation
New, old, good condition, rough, 250 sq. ft., 1200 sq. ft., railing w/ballusters, bench railings, etc.

Any home owner type airless should spray the waterseal ok but there will likely be a lot of overspray. Thin sealers like thompsons can be applied with a pump up garden sprayer that has a fan tip which will give better control of the spray.

I agree with slickshift that there are both better materials to protect the deck and better equipment to apply it with.

I used Cabot oil based clear sealer on my 6 month old SYP deck and applied it with a garden pump up sprayer. Stay away from Thompson's like the others said, it's garbage.
