I had my entry painted 3 months ago with SW promar paint. Now if I need to wipe down a spot, or if I am just wiping down the baseboards with a damp cloth, the cloth picks up the paint color. The color is a dark chocolate but the rag looks like I wiped up choclate milk. Is it the paint (SW says no) or is it my painters. Thanks for any advise!!

There are 3 grades of promar paint Promar 200 is the best and is a quality coating for the price [product I use most on new construction] Promar 700 is the cheapest, I won't use it on walls but maybe on ceilings with budget constraints.
What was under the promar paint. Textures that aren't primed can be subject to degrading by water that will penetrate many flat latex paints. Dark colors can be problematic because of the extra pigments. It is usuallly better to use swp's color accents [or deep accents I forget the name
] but SWP should have been aware of that based on color selected.
How long has the paint been applied?

The paint was Pro Mar 200 #6082. It was painted over previously painted walls. It was painted 3 months ago. I have never had this happen before but this color is darker than what I had previously. Hope this info helps.

squeaky wheel gets attention
The color shouldn't be coming off on the rag. I doubt it is a problem with the application. Talk to the SWP rep again, maybe he'll come out and look.
