I have a dilemma - I want to paint the wall above the stairs, but it is a huge wall with very tall vaulted ceilings! I don't know how to get all the way up there to paint - because of the stairs you can't just use a ladder extension. Any ideas???

A lot depends on how your stairs are constructed. Sometimes you can set the ladder on the step and set a walk board between it and a step ladder at the top or bottom.
There are also brush holders that screw onto roller poles which will allow you to cut in from the ground - they are a little hard to use or get used to.

You need the "Pivit ladder tool". It was originally called the ladder mate. It will let you level any ladder on stairs or most any angle. It is a black plastic triangle. It costs about $80.
