Question Help! Paint Mildew Smell

Help Somebody! I just used some old paint to re-coat my bathroom. Instead of trying to find a new can of the same color, I just used the old paint which had been in my basement for several years. Well, now my bathroom reeks of this awful mildew smell and I cannot get rid of it. Can anyone suggest a way that will get rid of the smell? Other than that the quality and texture of the paint did not change. I know someone out there has an answer.

If major attempts to air it out haven't worked, you might have to seal it in
That would require priming with a solvent based primer and re-painting (with a new can of paint)

I'd try good ventilation first. The odor should leave but may require a good bit of air flow.
