Help! I need to paint lots of pine laquered booths
Our new restaurant has pine lacquered booths. They are an okay shape but that finish has got to go. We'd like a dark distressed look. Where do I start?

Welcome to the forums
How many is "lots"?

I'm not sure what sort of distressed look you are going for, but to me that means sanding the wood to scuff it up, priming it with a pigmented shellac, priming with a gray tinted latex primer, two coats of black latex paint, then a coat (or two) of brown latex, then some distressin' by whacking them up a bit so the black shows through in places
You'll need some time as it's (obviously) involved
And things like the shellac step will not be able to be done while you are open for business (fumes)
