pencil marks

I am painting my basement, after applying the primer on the drywall, I unfortunately marked the few imperfect areas that needed to be repaired with a pencil. Now after fixing those areas, I started applying my paint and the pencil marks show up.What is the best way to deal with this problem?

Guess you could sand them off or you could prime over them.

As long as it's a pencil mark [not ink] another coat of paint should cover it. Usually when I run into this I'll either spot prime the marks or hit them with some wall paint prior to starting the finish coat.

You did prime the repairs, right?

Ya, you should have but if you have already painted the walls, just touching up the affected areas should be ok.
