Staining Concrete driveway
I see them do it some on TV but wondered has anyone ever tried stainig their driveway with the colored concrete stains sold at HD or Lowes? How did it turn out? Thanks

Yes, I stain my garage apron and sidewalk every year. I use goose gray, but could use every color. It needs to be redone about every 2 years depending upon how much you use it and the weather.

I can't speak for Jack but I've stained several driveways and walks. I prefer to use the H&C stain from SWP and apply it with a roller and brush. The H&C stains are a solvent based stain [extra stinky] that wears away but can be recoated with little fuss other than cleaning the surface.

After staining, coat with a good sealer. NOTE - the big boxes do not carry good sealers. Look for a concrete supply company in your local yellow pages or the H&C sealer from S-W.
