Paint to go with Black Couches & glass/iron coffee table?
My girlfriend and I are getting an apartment (with wood floors) together using my modern looking furniture. I have a black leather 3-piece couch set with a coffee table and 2 end tables that are glass tops with gray metal frames. My current apartment is painted shades of charcoal-blue color which looks good with the furniture but give more of a bachelor pad look.
What would be good paint colors to go with the furniture for a young couple like us?

This is something you both have to agree on, of course, but here's a thought.
Basically the same paint scheme you had, but brightened up with more vibrant colors in area rugs, drapes, lamp shades, wall pieces (pictures, etc.).
Practicaly speaking, with gray and black furniture almost any color scheme would work as long as the added colors didn't fight each other.
