I HATE STICKTACK, now what?

My kids has stickytack holding posters on their walls, we removed everything to paint and what a mess! It looks like there is some embedded in the paint and it appears to have stained the white paint! I tried putting duct tape over it and lifting it, it seems to have done a decent job. I'm guessing that we niw have to prime all of the walls of else teh paint may not stick....your thoughts?

If all the adhesive residue was removed you shouldn't need to prime. I would lightly sand the wall [especially those spots] before applying the paint.

Priming the repairs is a good idea. Priming all walls and ceilings depends on the age of the last paint job and how nice you want the finish coat to look after it all cures(90 days).

If you can remove the residue, you'll be OK to sand and paint
If it can't be all be removed, or it's all over or really into the walls, you'll still need to remove what you can, clean and sand, then a primer might be a good idea to avoid a paint failure later
