Paint Brush Problem

Hey:

Man, I hate to post this because I really take care of my paint brushes.. I have had two for over 10 years and now they are cooked..
They were lent out and came back with dried latex paint and Kills primer in then. I am not too sure how to or what to soak them in to get the old dried paint out so I can use them again.
As usual, any and all help is deeply appreciated.
Take care

Over ten years huh! Not too shabby. Hot soapy water and a stiff steel brush should work as long as they were not solid rock after you got them back. Let them dry out completely before you use them.

Was the kilz oil base or latex?

They sell some packets of brush cleaner at the paint store - I've never used it, so I don't know how effective it is.

They do have brush cleaners at your favorite paint store, and they are essentially paint stripper... You may just have to write the brushes off and never loan your brushes out again.
