Hello,
To paint (not stain) a fiberglass entry door, do I need to use a primer first?
Many thanks,
Majac777

Majac,
It depends on the door. Many are pre-primed. Is this a smooth finish or woodgrain? What does the manufacturer recommend?
If in doubt, prime it out. It can't hurt and would be good insurance. Don't forget under the hinge leafs.
Mark was on earlier...wait and see what he says.

I'm not sure if I've ever painted a fiberglass door but it shouldn't need any special primer. It would be a good idea to clean the door first [rinse well] to make sure there are no contamiments to hinder a good bond.
Go to your local paint store [not dept], they are usually qualified for good advice and their coatings will be superior to what you can get at a big box.
