Orbitol or palm sander for fence paint?
I want to refurbish an old picket fence. I plan to sand down to the bare wood, prime & paint.
What is better, orbitol or palm sander?

Yes, I meant scrape and sand, not to bare wood. Decided to keep the posts and support structure and replace the pickets with new.
Could I get a good coat on the pickets with spray paint from a can?

Paint in an aersol can is very thin so you wind up not applying enough material to get a quality job. You might want to use a small roller to pre prime/paint the pickets before installation.

Okay. I will go with a small roller. What would you recommend for attaching the pickets, deck screws or galvanized nails? I have seen arguments for both methods.
