Question

Anyone know of a simple method of clearing pigment from turps for reuse in cleaning brushes etc. It seems to me that we waste an awful of it.
What I'm looking for is something that will cause the the pigment to clump and settle out.

Allow it to settle in a bucket for a few days. Afterward pour off and use for your first wash.

I leave it to settle for about a week and I also pour the top off to reuse. Most everything will settle to the bottom and clump allowing you to do this. It also makes the solvent easier to dispose of properly in a hard form then liquid in our hazardous waste site.
