Applied paint to unprimed surface...need HELP [Moved post]

HELP. I just applied a coat of latex semi gloss paint to several stained doors which were not primed. Is this going to be a problem? I was planning to do the second coat in the morning but am afraid I have created a big mess. Can I apply a primer now....after I already goofed or do I need to strip the paint and start over.

A primer won't help much at this stage. How many doors did you paint

I have removed wallpaper and there are glue stops everywhere. Having spent the pat few days scrubbing and sanding, I've been thinking of another way to get done with painting. 1. Use Zinsser's Gardz to seal it. 2. Then apply joint compound on all the walls. 3. paint, and be done. Is this a good idea? Also, would i need to prime again after applying joint compound?Read More

:eek:I have no idea what colors to use. I saw a few posting about this , which helped now i know to stay in the same color (different shades). Which room would u put the darker shade on. When u walk in my front door straight ahead of u is the kitchen and to the left is the living room with the dining room right in front. open floor plan can see all rooms.
