Question

We have dark kitchen cabinets which are part stained wood and part laminate. What is the best way to paint them? I've read in this forum that Cabinet Rescue Melamine works great over the laminate without priming. What about the wood? The frames are wood but the cabinet boxes and inside panels are all laminated. Do I need two processes? The more I read the more confusing it gets. We sure would like to avoid 6 months of sanding and painting, but our first priority is a quality process. Please help. ~Thanks

yes you have to prime real wood with a stain blocking primer, white oil based works best..not schellac. the largest surface is the doors and drawers that if laminated don't need priming with the cabinet rescue paint.
