Drywall screws "Oxidizing"?
We just finished a major repaint. Yesterday I saw litlle gray spots all over one wall. After a few minutes I realized the were marks from the drywall screws. What can I do to cover them and keep them covered? I have a wall in the basement that has this problem and comes back everytime we repaint. I don't want this on a main wall.

I'm guessing the screws used were not galvanized. They will rust.
I think a solvent based stain blocking primer would probably block the bleed through.Cover over with whatever wall apint you are using as it would accept any.

I've never seen a galvanized drywall screw in my life. All I've ever seen were black (oxide? paint?), are they galvanized under the black coating?. Must be some other issue not yet divulged?

Initially I'm wondering if you painted over the drywall compound before it was dry? Whatever the case, stain kill the marks a couple times and they should stay gone..>.I hope.

I think something else is afoot, too.
Did you hang the drywall yourself? Are you sure they are drywall screws and not just a wood screw or nail?
Was the drywall screwed directly into the foundation?
Is the basement heated?

Is the one wall an exterior wall?
I don't think the screws are oxidizing. Oxidizing drywall screws would be "rusting" which is red/rust (red oxide), not gray.
I don't think anything is bleeding either, requiring a stain kill or stain blocker.
You said you just finished a major repaint - not a major remodel. Am I correct in assuming that you did not replace any drywall, add any new drywall screws or do any mudding on this wall? The wall in the basement has not been recently mudded either has it?
And this is a recurrent problem "every time you repaint"?
