Proper Ventilation When Painting

I'm about ready to paint my basement area, but it only has a small window that folds open. What do people usually do to help the ventilation, smell, fumes of escaping when your painting a room that doesn't have multiple windows that you can open wind? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can set a fan at or near the window to help exhaust the fumes.

Use a "green" no VOC paint as well as ventilate with a couple of fans.
