Painted Cabinet Edge Chipping
We had our kitchen cabinets painted two years ago by a professional painter. They were primed and then two coat of alkyd (oil base) white paint applied. Some edges have chipped where a dish bumped them. I can repair but wondered if there are some narrow clear plastic strips that can be applied over these edges to protect them. Or any other suggestions.

Mark,
I also thought of the wall paper corner protectors but they are much too large. I was thinking of something with legs no wider than 3/16" with a matte finish so they would disappear.
I think some of the chips are because the painter did not "break" (sand) a sharp corner before priming. The cabinets were washed and scuff sanded before priming.
My approach, if nothing more elegant is suggested, will be to sand the chipped edges so that they will be rounded, then prime and repaint.
Thanks

That would be my approach, once you've gone through the process a few times you'll find...you won't bang the cabinets putting the dishes away anymore.....
