I would never recomend painting bare wood without a primer. You need to use a quality exterior oil based primer for best results. I would recomend Sherwin Williams or Ben. Moore.
I need to paint baseboard mouldings that have been previously stained and varnished.
I DON'T WANT TO SAND & PRIME !
Is there a ONE-STEP way to do this ?? We want a WHITE HIGH-GLOSS finish....is there a paint product that will adhere to the varnish? How about oil-based paint ?
I have textured ceilings and some spots have lost their texture. Can I paint over the ceiling with sand paint to restore the look? Also, any particular brand that stands out more than the rest? It's been a long time since I've done any painting and I never painted over a textured ceiling. I would imagine using a roller would be best with a brush for the hard to get at places. I need help on this project. Thanks...
