I use Sherman Williams semi-gloss paint. Love it! I wash it every year and looks great. Last time I panted was 1981/2. Changing color decor and want to stencil around the top of the walls. The walls will have a new coat of paint. Do I need to put a primer where I will be stenciling? Can I stencil with SW paint or should I use stencil paint? If I use stencil paint does it wash as well as SW?

syls, I don't think you need to prime for the stencil. Use the S.W. if only one color is needed. If you need more than one color you may be better off moneywise to use the stencil paint. Either will wash well...Mike
