i will be removing wall paper from a wall then painting. after removing the wall paper how should i prepare the wall for the paint. Is there a certain amount of waiting time in between preparing the wall and then applying the paint?

Post, After you get to the wall there will be adhesive left on the wall and if painted as is will bleed through discoloring the new paint. This is the way I wash a wall for painting. Covering the floor 2 feet from the wall with plastic is helpful. Mist the wall with water sprayed from a garden sprayer. Repeat every 5-10 minutes until adhesive will shave off with a 6-10 inch drywall knife or washes off easily with a sponge. Wash one final time with clean water and let dry a day before painting......Mike

I did the same thing! But the wall can't be
painted, its too rough! Wash it and seal it?
Prime It? Sand It? Thanks!
