Paint fridge

I have a question. I am getting ready to paint my Harvest Gold Fridge BLACK and I need to know what is "a purple scotch brite pad" and where can I get it? Sorry to be so dumb, but I have never heard of that.

Thanks for any assistance.

it is an mild abrasive pad, and it is purple. i've seen them in my ace. i always just grab the green pads and they work fine.

are you using an appliance epoxy spray paint?

Thanks so much for the answer to the scotch pads.
I am planning on using an oil base enamel paint. It is Rust-Oleum brand

thanks!
I would recommend Ben Moore oil based Metal & Wood paint for this project, some Willbond deglosser, and a foam roller and nice bristle brush. As recommended, wash, if you can't paint around the hardware and door gasket, remove them, rough up the surface with fine steel wool or the pads recommended, wipe the surface with Willbond, add an ounce to your paint, and roll it on with your foam roller, wait a few minutes and if there are bubbles in your paint, tip it off with your bristle brush. The nice part about this paint is it is extremely self leveling, and you can get it mixed in any color you like. Pick a nice color, and you'll have the only fridge in the world painted that color, turquoise or not....
