splatter painting

Many year ago, I let my daughter "splatter-paint" her room. We now need to remove it. Does anyone have suggestions on how to remove it and smooth out the walls.

Is it sheet rock or plaster? How thick is the paint? How big is the room?

Welcome to the forums tpmjsj!

I'd sand and then apply a thin skim coat of joint compound, sand, remove dust, prime and paint.
