Painting next to brick

We're repainting the trim on our brick home. The "solar seal" caulking is white, and while our trim color is fairly pale, I wanted to try and make it match our trim. Tape doesn't seem to be sticking to the brick, so does anyone have good tips for keeping paint off of the brick while painting?

Thanks!

A good brush, a little practice and keep a bucket of water with a brush or rag to remove any 'booboos' before they dry

I was afraid of that, LOL! Fortunately for me, I did some practicing before I started ...my only noticeable "boo-boo's" were where I got tired and switched to my left hand...it's a bit shakier than my right. But I got better as I went along.

Thanks!
