Removing paint from Clay tiles
Hi
I've just brought a bungalow built in the 1950's. The window ledges are all made of clay tile but have all been painted. I would love to remove the matt paint and take them back to the original tile but do not want to spoil them. Does anyone have any ideas as to what would work? I've no idea and cannot find much information on the net.
Thanks

Not sure I'm familiar with the clay tiles as window ledges. I don't do a lot of paint stripping but when that type of job arises, I usually consult the folks at my local paint store. They should be able to steer you in the right direction..... maybe the peel away type stripper.
A big concern would be how porous the tiles are but as long as you don't damage them and you discover they can't be stripped to your satisfaction, a fresh coat of paint will bring them back to their current condition.
