Unhappy paint colour

Hello there, I am brand new to this forum as well as wall painting so bare with me please. I would like to start painting my house and my favorite colors are Yellow ochre and Raw sienna. I am thinking about buying paint at General paint, so I went online to try and find the paint that would match those two colors I mentioned. I am sure I do not have to tell you that I spent one hour browsing; it is overwhelming to me to go through all of those. Please help, if you are an expert in wall paint and are familiar with General paint paints please help.

Welcome to the forums!

I'm not familiar with General Paint but looking at all the colors available can be confusing. I'd suggest going to your local paint store to talk over the color choices. If you have something that you want the paint matched to, bring it with you - they should be able to do that.

The 2 colors you mention are pigment colors - used to tint paint but you can get a deep tint base tinted close to them.

Thank you for your help. I was hopping that someone had painted with similar paint and would be able to tell me exactly the name of it. I know that the two are pigments but I am sure that they can mix a paint to achieve the same colour.

I'm sure most paint stores can mix up paint to match the tint colors but that doesn't mean they would all name that color the same. Back when I was an apprentice you could buy bottles of tint color at the paint store and then tint your own paint..... I don't miss those days at all, so much easier to let the paint store handle that

Does General Paint have a local store?
