Hi,

I found this photo on the internet, and I'm wondering what type of paint they used. Of course, there is no one of asking them personally, so I'm wondering if some of you paint experts can identify they type of paint used judging from the photo.
Thanks for the help!

I think it might be a silkscreen process using some templates. Look how smooth the ink is. No way the fill colors are brushed. It's like printer ink or something translucent. If no one knows for sure, you're gonna have to conduct some experiments. As in; is the ink a modified mixture of an existing type of ink that it lets the wood grain show -and is the wood sealed or not before the print is made? Maybe you can take this pic to a print shop or art store?
Then again perhaps it's water color and indian ink. Maybe water color behaves like stain -- if you wipe of excess before it dries, you get even color consistancy?
