Thinning Oil Base Paint??

I have some interior paint, it looks to be oil base as there is an oil residue on the inside lid. The lid wasn't put on tight and now it's a taffy like texture, can I or a paint store add anything to it to make it useable again?

Thanks much!!

Try adding some paint thinner to it. You might have to stir it for a long time though.

You'll also want to strain the paint after you have mixed in the thinner...... but if it's as thick as taffy it might not be salvageable
