Painting pressboard kitchen cabinets

I have a double wide moble home with dark pressboard cabinets, where there is some water damage. can i repaint the cabinets? and How? Thank you

That depends on how bad the water damage is. If it soaked through, it might not work.

As long as the cabinets are still solid, you shouldn't have any issues with painting them.

You'll need to lightly sand and then apply a solvent based primer, pigmented shellac [like zinnser's BIN] would be best. You can topcoat with your choice of enamel [waterborne, oil base or latex]
